We wanted to develop a single place where parents, guardians, carers, grandparents etc. can access loads of useful information about services, events and opportunities in our area, and share tips and advice. We don't think anyone looking after children should feel isolated or alone when there are so many opportunities to mix and chat with others.

So, now the site is up and running please feel free to use it. If you've heard about an event or activity that may interest others, let us know through the "Register an event" page. If you run a group or provide a service, again, please let us have the details and we'll add them to the events calendar.

The site is still building, so if you don't find anything relevant or close to you at the moment, keep checking back as the events and services information available is growing every day. If you don't find anything in your area, tell us about the local groups and events you already know about and we'll add the details to the site, it might encourage others nearby to do the same and the information about your area will start to grow.

I'm no longer organising the weekly Carlisle meet-up at Dobbies... instead I'll arrange different meet-ups at different local venues to take advantage of the better weather, but these won't be every week. Keep checking the "Events calendar" page for more information and also keep an eye on the events in the discussion forum.
